This Week at Marcel’s: August 21st – 27th

With the season turning to “start of the school year” and the (sort of) lazy days of summer wrapping up, having new options in your pantry for meals is one way to make life easier. The ever-changing specialty food section at Marcel’s has a lot of new delicious products (including a couple from Glen Ellyn locals) that will freshen up your meals and lunch boxes!

We are so happy to welcome back Tiberino pastas after a long absence from Marcel’s.  These gourmet pastas are true one pot meals with all the herbs and seasonings included to make a delicious sauce from your pasta water. Add some protein and you’ve got dinner!
Plymouth Artisan Cheese is the newest offering in our refrigerator with six different Vermont cheddars with tastes to please every palate.
Home Plate Peanut Butter is a classic peanut butter in creamy, crunchy and honey flavors with sweet/salty taste, and perfect texture. Created by a group of former professional baseball players, this peanut butter is made from natural, sustainable ingredients and will pass both the kid and adult test.  During the month of August, buy 2 or more and get 20% off all!
This Little Goat Sauces from Stephanie Izard are a collection of globally-inspired cooking sauces.  Created from the kitchens of Girl & the Goat, Little Goat, and Duck Duck Goat, these sauces are intensely flavorful and will stir your creative juices! 
Elm Street Apiary Honey is from hives that are literally in Glen Ellyn’s Kellenberger family back yard with all of the health benefits that local honey offers.  This year’s hives produced honey that is lightly floral and delicious.
Zella Chocolate from Glen Ellyn’s own Jack Manzella is luxurious dark chocolate combined with exotic flavors. Ask us for a sample and you’ll be hooked!
Sweetwood Smokehouse beef jerky just came in the door two days ago and is the perfect combination of great flavor and just the right texture for beef jerky. Joined by 100% natural “Fatty” beef sticks, this family owned cattle ranch in Steamboat Springs, CO has delivered high protein delicious snacks to Marcel’s.
