Halloween originated in Ireland as the Celtic festival of Samhain. The Celts believed that on the eve of Halloween, the veil between the living and dead world was the thinnest, allowing spirits and demons to easily pass between the two. They dressed in disguises and lit bonfires to keep evil spirits away. Although a time of thrills, chills, and scaring ourselves, this fright-filled holiday began as a celebration of the annual harvest and the coming of winter. Tonight, come celebrate if you dare! On the menu: Bushmill's Apple Ginger Fizz; Halloween Barmbrack Bread with Irish Butter & White Pudding, Ulster Vegetable Barley Soup, Irish Salmon with Citrus Greens & Boxty Potatoes, and “Fifteens”- a Northern Irish family favorite Tray Bake with Marshmallow, Cherries, Cookies, Coconut & Condensed Milk
