This Week at Marcel’s: January 14th through 20th

Dana and I got back this past week from the International Gifts and Home Show in Atlanta and we are really excited about all of our new finds. It’s an enormous show where we didn’t see everything, but some of our new merchandise will ship as early as this coming week! We’ll give you the highlights via Facebook and email in the upcoming days and weeks.


Juliska is not only one of our favorite products but it is our #1 line in the store so seeing their new products is always a highlight — and it sure is beautiful for this spring. The icing on the cake was a nice long chat with David Gooding, founder of Juliska. He was so interested in our business and what’s working and what’s not for us — just a treat to be able to spend time with him. And of course, we had to get a pic!


For some of you the new year might be a time to try new adventures so I wanted to tell you about work opportunities for all ages at Marcel’s and Marché. We have great teams, a wonderful work environment, and a ton of fun!


For the high school set, we are looking for a dishwasher at Marcel’s. The work is generally 2 – 3 days per week for approximately 3 hour shifts. Evenings and weekends are included and applicants must be 15 years old. Send inquiries to jill@marcelsculinaryexperience.com.


At Marché, we have full and part time positions available for those with a love of food and a desire to learn about cheese and wine. Applicants must be 21 years old and available for evening and weekend work as well. Benefits are available for certain positions. Inquiries for Marché go to daniel@marche496.com.

    I’m considering this as a couples night gift for my husband and I and 4 of our friends for Christmas. Are there any couples-specific nights in January or February?

      Rebecca, Any of our classes are great for couples and we see many couples attending classes, particularly on the weekends. We do have one class that is specifically billed as a couples class and that is on Saturday, February 10th with Chef Paul. Hope to see you soon!
