blue bonnets (1) May 23, 2014 by Jill Foucre Leave a Comment Between Llano and Castell, there is a nice little road called Hwy 152. It winds and curves through a lovely countryside. In the spring, this can be a great place to view the Texas state flower, with bluebonnets covering all sides of the road. Mixed into this river of blue, you can often find Indian Paintbrush. This bluebonnet picture was made in early April during the prolific bluebonnet season. I was fortunate to find great clouds as an overcast sky was beginning to dissipate, giving soft light and a little blue peeking through above me.
