This is the starter we use in all our sourdough baking here at Breadtopia. A hearty strain of wild yeast that has served us well for almost 40 years. Fed, nurtured and dehydrated for a long, stable shelf-life.

For thousands of years, sourdough starter has been used to healthily and naturally leaven bread. Containing naturally occurring yeast and friendly Lactobacillus bacteria, sourdough starter also adds its own unique flavor profile to baked goods. Plus it's good for your gut.

Ingredients: Organic wheat flour and wild yeast culture.

And here we are, with decades of baking wisdom under our belt, sharing with you the creation of our very own Breadtopia sourdough starter kit. It has everything you need to begin your sourdough journey.

For starters, we developed the perfect lid that allows in the precise amount of air required for your starter to thrive. There’s also an o-ring to mark your progress and a spatula for mixing and removal. Then it wouldn't be complete without our own hearty strain of Dry Sourdough Starter with instructions on how to prepare it for baking.

This classic Pumpkin Bread and Muffin Mix is the perfect treat! Simply add eggs, vegetable oil and pumpkin, and fill your kitchen with the cozy smell of cinnamon-spiced pumpkin goodness. STORE OWNERS PLEASE NOTE that your customers must add pumpkin to this product! This product was originally designed to be sold at pumpkin patches, so the idea was that customers would be separately procuring their own pumpkin. We have debated including this and our other pumpkin product in our Faire offering since a pumpkin product in more general stores customarily has pumpkin in it.
