Product Description
Roast, bake, sear, sauté, and serve generous portions in the Smithey No. 14 Dual Handle Skillet. Its expansive cast iron body retains steady heat, while the satin-smooth polished interior develops improved release through regular cooking and seasoning. Two compact handles create a balanced profile for oven-to-table cooking and controlled two-handed lifting.
Smithey founder Isaac Morton’s interest in restoring vintage cookware helped inspire a modern interpretation of polished 19th-century American ironware. Made in the USA, the No. 14 Dual Handle Skillet combines traditional cast iron character with modern production, a preseasoned finish, and an engravable surface.

Use & Care
- Suitable for roasting, baking, searing, sautéing, and crowd-sized skillet meals

- Regular cooking and seasoning help the polished surface develop improved release over time
- For oven seasoning, Smithey recommends 450°F
- The skillet and both handles become hot; use dry oven mitts and lift with two hands
- Because the skillet weighs approximately 10.5 lb before food is added, confirm that the cooking surface and oven rack can support it securely
- Protect tables and counters with a heat-safe trivet before serving
- Allow cookware to cool before cleaning
- Hand wash with warm water and a soft brush or nonabrasive sponge
- Avoid soaking and do not place in the dishwasher
- Dry immediately and thoroughly to help prevent rust
- Apply a very light coating of cooking oil after drying to maintain the seasoning
- Store in a dry place and protect the polished surface when stacking
- Follow the manufacturer’s seasoning, temperature, warranty, and care guidance
