In this technique driven hot water bath canning class, Chef Melissa will demonstrate the essential techniques for making seasonal pickled carrots, as well as a zesty chow chow relish - two perfect examples of how to capture the essence of summer in a jar. Along the way, you'll enjoy a tasting of seasonal appetizers featuring these freshly made preserves. At the end of the class, you’ll take home your very own 8-ounce jar of pickled carrots, an 8-ounce jar of chow chow relish, and all the knowledge and recipes you need to start canning at home and enjoy summer flavors year-round.
