Larch Wood Large One Hander Board 15x9.5
Regular price $175.00Regular priceUnit price perSale price $175.00Our Large One Hander offers a generous working area for cutting and presenting, yet is light and portable enough to be picked up and moved effortlessly with one hand.
• Easy handling
• Large, immaculately smooth cutting surface
• Elegant design made with robust end grain construction
• Board size is 15 x 9.5 x 1.25 inches (38 x 23.8 x 3.4 cm)
• Board weighs 4.3 lbs (1.95 kg)The Large One Hander is the largest model of our One Hander cutting boards; despite its generous dimensions it can still be easily picked up with one hand. The end grain design used on our boards, where the wood fibres are arranged upright like a brush, makes the cutting surface particularly gentle on your knives, self-healing and therefore extremely durable. Thanks to the elegant pattern resulting from the tree’s annual growth rings, the board is also ideal for serving or presenting food of all kinds. As with all our cutting boards, the Large One Hander has rubber feet that prevent moisture build-up under the board, make it easier to pick up and stop the board from slipping on the counter surface.
Protect your investment and ensure the longevity of your heirloom Larch Wood products, and they will last a lifetime. It’s as simple as following the care instructions provided below.
Care Instructions
This board is handcrafted from the indigenous Eastern Canadian Larch by local craftsmen from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Your board will last life times if properly cared for.
• Never submerge in water.
• Never place in a dishwasher
• Never leave the board in areas of concentrated heat
• Never place a hot skillet or pot from a burner or oven directly on the boardMaintenance
Your new cutting board should be seasoned to allow it to adapt to your home or work environment. Apply Larch Wood Cutting Board Conditioner to all surfaces of your board on a weekly basis for the first month. Once the board is seasoned we recommend a monthly treatment to prevent the wood fibers from drying out.
Apply a generous coat of the conditioner on the top, sides and bottom with a dry cloth and allow it to absorb. Buff to a shine with a soft dry cloth.
Cleaning
Use a moist cloth or sponge to remove any dirt. Sticky residue can be cleaned by using a small amount of mild detergent on the scrubby side of a sponge while holding the board under warm running water.
To clean even more thoroughly, apply salt to the board and rub with a sponge that has been dampened with lemon juice or just use a lemon cut in half.
Storage
Do not store the board in a hot place ie: close to direct sunlight or a heat source. Dry the cutting board carefully before storing in a cupboard.

Claude Dozorme Panaché Bleu-Vert Steak Knife Set
Regular price $175.95Regular priceUnit price perSale price $175.95Elevate your dining experience with this set of six exquisite Laguiole steak knives.
This color palette combination fosters a harmonious and calming atmosphere, promoting a sense of serenity and balance that enhances any space. Bring a touch of European elegance to your table and enhance every meal with the timeless charm of Laguiole.
Claude Dozorme, based in Thiers, France, is a prestigious, family-owned cutlery maker renowned for its unparalleled expertise and innovation that has been passed down since 1902. Their cutting-edge artisanal products maintain the same key steps used for over a century, ensuring value and quality.
Although these steak knives can be safely washed in the dishwasher, hand washing right after use is always recommended to preserve the vibrant colors and the quality of your knives. For best results, use warm water, a mild detergent, and a non-scratch cloth or sponge. Hand dry with a towel before storing.
Never allow knives to soak in water; this may cause rust or staining from the mineral content in some water.
If you do choose to place your cutlery in the dishwasher, it is essential to note the following to avoid damages that can void the manufacturer's warranty:- Load your knives blade side down in the utensil basket, do not lay them flat on a rack. Be sure that knives are not touching in the basket.
- High-pressure water can result in items being jostled around and hitting each other, causing blades to become dented, chipped and/or dulled.
- Abrasive dishwasher detergent and water mineral content can affect the finish or shine of your cutlery. We recommend experimenting with different detergent brands & rinse agents to find the best combination for your dishwasher.
- All dishwashers perform differently and dry cycles may not dry contents completely which may result in water spot stains.
As with any sharp instrument, use care to prevent injuries. Even with knives pointing down, it is still unsafe to unload a dishwasher with blades inside.
